I purchased my Fuji Touring bicycle from a local bike shop near my college. Then if I really love touring I can get a better one later down the road. The Fuji Touring is a nice, true touring bike at a reasonable price. A nice feature Fuji added is a special mount to carry extra spokes on the left chainstay-that’s a sign of a well thought out touring machine. I personally don’t like this change. The reason I don’t like bar-end shifters is because I rarely ever ride with my hands in the drops, and with the shifters at the bottom of the drops on bar-end shifters, I have to reach my hand down several inches each and every time I want to change gears. I love the fluidity of the ride, the result of great frame flexibility.
