The flat bars come up at a comfortable angle and result in a riding position which is not too upright and the rubber grippers are reasonably comfortable for an hour or so without gloves. The folded package can be carried around quite easily by the top tube and is stable and reasonably comfortable if a bit heavy. Not one component was overlooked during development, and it shows.The Montague Allston continues the effective approach the company employs with its other bikes: Focus on the bike’s core features first, and then worry about the folding mechanism. The rear wheel is bolted on to allow the chain length to be adjusted for the single speed set-up. I’ve ridden it hard, and it continues to amaze me. No need to worry.However, other than that, it looks like a regular hybrid or commuter bike with an eccentric design. I love it.I commute into Manhattan daily on Metro North and bike to work from Grand Central Terminal. The Boston has exceeded my expectations. It will make most urban riders pretty happy.
