The Lippie Pencils were one of the first products ColourPop launched, and they relaunched their lip liner collection with a total of 40 shades. Well “DGAF” literally means “Don’t Give A F***k”. There really was no doubt about it!
There’s nothing worse than a sheer lip pencil that you have to keep dragging over and over the lips, and 38/40 of the shades are fully opaque in one single swipe. The matte and metallics, neutrals and colours, all were just absolutely fabulous and really great for a creating a wide range of looks with this palette.The next feature of this palette that captivated me was the pigments!!! The colourpop super shock shadow formulas are literally like pressed powder butters. Purchased by me/Contains affiliate links. I actually found they performed much better when applied with a dampened brush. But overall, the shades perform very well and looked even better on the lids. For one, I haven't really tried any of their Lippie Stix yet, only their Ultra Matte and Ultra Satin liquid lipsticks. Colourpop released a number of holiday kits last 2016, but the only one that really caught my interest was this lippie kit. Also a swatch of Highlight Cosmetics Desert Mirage Liquid Lipstick. Bronzes, reds, blues and greens all sealed together in a soft yet elegant union. My favourites were Stardust, Potion, Waterbearer and Elfish.So how about you? I knew I had to have it! As I said, they are sharpenable and I do prefer sharpenable lip liners as they tend to last longer than say retractable liners which can easily dry out.Every single one of my ColourPop Lippie Pencil Collection swatches is four swipes of the pencil to give a true representation of colour, finish and opacity. It was absolutely enchanting and truly dreamy.
Have you ever tried anything from ColourPop before? It’s a row of mainly metallic finishes and small flickers of colour.The second row is definitely the more colourful set in this palette with mainly matte colours save for Sweet dreams which is a shimmery/metallic shade.
As you can see from the swatches, these lip liners are extremely intense with very high colour payoff which is exactly what you want from a lip liner. !Shooting Star: This is a soft golden brown with warm undertones and a matte finish.Magical: This is a matte yellow peach with warm undertones.I was really ecstatic by how amazing this palette is!!! There’s nudes, mauves, pinks, browns, reds, plums, corals and fun shades with also neutral, cool and warm undertones meaning there’s shades for every single skintone.I already owned eight ColourPop Lippie Pencils and I’ve never had any break, or dry out so I’m delighted to have all 40 shades and I haven’t touched any of my other lip liners since getting the ColourPop Lippie Pencil Collection as it has every shade and tone I could possibly need and more.
