The most recent book I've read is Yellow Crocus by Laila Ibrahim, and I have to say, I was captivated by this book.

Naturally, in due time, the new baby winnows her way into the nursemaid’s heart. Yellow Crocus is an engaging, thought-provoking story. Upon Elizabeth's birth, Mattie becomes her wet-nurse and, over time, her mammy and confidante. This is something our nation needs to change so POC can move from anger to grief to healing.
