Red rocks, white rocks, crazy formations and bays had me feeling like I was on the moon.I was blown away as we started walked along the coast to the lighthouse. It is between Ethel Beach and Cape Spencer Lighthouse. Very close to neighbouring sites which was a bit uncomfortable. It is also important to note that Park entry fees and camping fees must be paid on-line in advance of your visit.We took our camper trailer for 4 nights at Pondalowie Bay campground over the Australia Day long weekend.

Once again the crystal clear water exposed the reef and rock formations beneath the surface. Shell Beach is a popular beach and campground on the north shore of Innes National Park (about 20 kilometres from the visitor centre) and the turn-off is well signed. Innes National Park is a favourite for camping, fishing and surfing.

This location is a Driver Reviver Station at peak times manned by local volunteers, your donation will assist them. Although it is part of Innes National Park you actually have to drive out of the park to get to it. The day we arrived at Stenhouse Bay it was a little choppy but I have seen photos of the bay when the weather is calm and it looks amazing.This little cove is just another private beach within Innes National Park you can enjoy all to yourself.

Looking back down the beach I couldn’t help thinking why no-one was here to enjoy these views with us. South Australia’s Innes National Park is one of those special places where there really is something for everyone ... Dolphin Beach and Shell Beach. We have been camping at Innes National Park many times over the past 40 years and continue to enjoy the experience. Remember to bring a bag to keep your trash. Yeah it is an awesome place to find some beautiful, peaceful beaches!This was a tough one to find. and the long drop toilets were a delight - at least the Rangers ensured toilet paper was provided in all the toilets!
