Blind Tiger, Ginger Man, Top Hops, and Good Beer are some good craft spots/bottle shops downtown.If you’re looking more for breweries over bars with a good beer selection, I would skip lower Manhattan entirely. Three’s Brewing is only a few blocks away from there, and aside from having the best outdoor space of any of these breweries, it’s not one of my favorites and the beers don’t stack up to any of my other recs.Wrong, NYC is huge, lots of craft beer across Brooklyn. Only have time for lower Manhattan and Brooklyn unfortunately. Other Half Brewing Company. Enjoy them in the large taproom at one of the barrel tables.Other Half has quickly developed a cult following for its single hop releases, among others, and the taproom offers a chance to try them directly from the source. Go to the Brooklyn Barge if the weather is nice(craft beer on an old barge on the water, great view of Manhattan) Six Point is a must, Long Island City brewing is good, rockaway brewing is good also.Breweries have been covered by other people. Torst is a great beer bar and always has evil twin and suarez family on tap and its close to Greenpoint brewing which is severely underrated.Also, our craft bars have to be some of the best.
Manhattan has an amazing beer bar scene though. A flood of young, postage stamp-sized breweries has joined stalwarts like Brooklyn Brewery to deliver an exciting, diverse selection of brews in their taprooms and at various bars. The Brooklyn Lager is pretty iconic at this point. Bars Breweries Williamsburg. Brooklyn. LIC Beer Project and Singlecut are both great but I’ll admit it would be tough to get to all of these in one day.Going up to see a friend tomorrow. It’s smaller, but it usually has a good mix of different types of beers and it’s got a much more chill vibe than a lot of the other busier breweries. Much appreciated.I really like Finnback in Queens.
Selections like a pineapple-infused sour and the Three Little Words saison with lemon zest should be lingered over in the raucous taproom.This self-described “nano-scale” microbrewery in Ridgewood doesn’t take itself too seriously. A kitchen turns out pub-appropriate fare including fried pickles and wings.A visit to a decent winery generally requires a trek outside of New York’s five boroughs, but the city is one of the country’s great beer towns and has only proven itself more so in recent years. Will check it out next time. It’s weird, I’ve never seen it used outside of NYC reallyalso, there are technically 2 breweries in manhattan but they arent worth your time. On top of the typical DDH IPAs, they have been making a lot of unique and delicious sours lately, since that sounds like something you guys like.Yeah you’re right , other half isn’t top 5 brewery in the country or anything There are no breweries in Manhattan, but a bunch of great beer bars. You are wrong, but it's understandable.Real estate prices are high enough here that we don't have the volume as places like Greensboro or San Diego, but in the last 5-6 years there's been a veritable explosion of breweries, some of which are world class, and a large handful of which are legitimately great.Great list, thank you very much!Unfortunately I'll only be in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn for this visit but l'll be back for sure.But Brooklyn and Queens have a great brewery scene.I also would check out King’s County Brewers Collective in Bushwick. While its more common offerings are widely available around the city, the taproom includes a backyard with food trucks and DJs, plus the chance to sample the juicy, complex No Resolutions IPA. ... Fortunately, Flagship Brewing Company is ready to greet you with a pint of some of New York City’s finest beer just a short walk away from the ferry terminal. From there if you head east over our lovely Gowanus canal, I would recommend stopping in at Strong Rope. Haven't been to the brewery but have had a handful of their beers.Other Half in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn is making some of the best IPA in the world, especially if you like the New England/Northeast style.
