Summary: In the first-season finale, Weller goes on a difficult search for the truth. She returns to her apartment to find Weller, who’s pissed, dirty, and drinking whiskey at her table. He cuffs her, delivers her Miranda rights, and tells her she’s under arrest. Upon unlocking the USB, the team sees three folders, labeled: ORION, DAYLIGHT, and something called M7G677 (another mystery for season 2?) Directed by Rob Seidenglanz.

Knowing that there is only a sliver of a chance that she’s alive, they decide whether they will go full-in on aiding and abetting her as a criminal. Our characters wanted to believe it, so we in the audience wanted to believe it as well. She wakes up tied to a chair, with Oscar prepping his next move.

Patterson has really been through the ringer all season, and she’s had ample opportunity to shine (particularly in the episode focusing on her a few weeks ago). Throughout the entire season, the central mystery has been “who is Jane Doe?” For much of the season, we’ve thought that the answer to that question was “Taylor Shaw.” There was evidence against that possibility, of course, but there was also evidence pointing to it being true.

They figure out where “Joey” is, the guy who answers the phone pretending to be a pizza parlor, after tracing a call Jane made to him. We are incredibly lucky to have had Ashley Johnson in a regular role this season, and I’m so thankful for the way that this character has been able to completely grow into her own.

The core scoobies followed clues left by Mayfair that dropped some major bombshells, Jane had the worst fight ever with her ex-fiancé, and we found out who the big bad is for next season is (PS, his name is Shepherd).
